Neomycin sulphate                                             150         mg

Florfenicol (as sodium succinate)                     300         mg

Oxytetracycline HCl                                             300         mg

 

DESCRIPTION

Neomycin is an aminoglycoside broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic with activity against certain members of the Enterobacteriaceae. Its mode of action is at the ribosomal level. Neomycin sulphate is recommended for the treatment of infections of the alimentary tract, caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria that are sensitive to neomycin, Oxytetracycline HCl is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against Actinomyces, Rickettsia, Mycoplasma and Chlamydia spp. and is therefore recommended in the treatment of Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma infections in poultry. Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic effective against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Corynebacteria spp., Colibacteria, Klebsiella spp, Typhus and Paratyphus bacteria, Shigella spp., Brucella spp., Hemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp. and Bacillus anthracis.

 

INDICATIONS

VETKO N.F.O. MIX WSP is indicated for treatment of infections of the alimentary tract, caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is also recommended in the treatment of Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma infections in poultry. VETKO N.F.O. MIX WSP is effective against Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Pneumococcus, Corynebacteria spp., Colibacteria, Klebsiella spp, Typhus and Paratyphus bacteria, Shigella spp., Brucella spp., Hemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp. and Bacillus anthracis. VETKO N.F.O. MIX WSP is indicated for calves, lambs, piglets, kids for gastro-intestinal tract infection (neonatal diarrhea) caused by E. coli, salmonella spp and clostridium spp.

 

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Do not use in animals suffering from seriously impaired renal or hepatic functions. Do not use in breeding pigs. Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.

 

SIDE EFFECTS

Ototoxic, nephrotoxic and neurotoxic when overdosed or used in dehydrated animals.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For oral administration via feed or drinking water.

Poultry                                                 : 100 g per 200 liters of drinking water daily, for 4 – 5 days.

Calves, lambs, piglets, kids               : 3 g per 25 kg bodyweight for 4 – 5 days

Mixed with feed use the product immediately. Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours.
