SULFA 100% WSP

DESCRIPTION

Sulfadimidine acts usually bactericidal against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms like E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Salmonella, Pasteurella and Eimeria spp. Sulfadimidine affect bacterial purine synthesis, because of which a blockade is accomplished.

 

INDICATIONS

VETKO SULFA 100% WSP is indicated for gastrointestinal, respiratory and urogenital infections caused by sulfadimidine sensitive microorganisms like E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus and Pasteurella spp. in calves, cattle, goats, poultry, sheep and swine, and coccidiosis caused by Eimeria spp. in poultry.

 

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to sulfonamides. Do not administer to animals with a seriously impaired renal function or with blood dyscrasias.

 

SIDE EFFECTS

Crystalluria, anaemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For oral administration via feed or drinking water.

Calves, cattle, goats and sheep       :10 g per 100 kg body weight for 3 - 7 days.

Pigs                                                       :1 kg per 2,000 liters of drinking water for 3 - 7 days.

Poultry                                                 :1 kg per 2,000 liters of drinking water for 3 days, or according to the 3-2-3 scheme:  3 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on.

Mixed with feed, use the product immediately. Mixed with drinking water, use the product within 24 hours.

 

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD

Meat   

   Cattle, calves, sheep, goats           : 12 days.

   Poultry and swine                           : 15 days.

Milk                                                       : 5 days.

 

STORAGE

Store in a dry and dark place between 8 °C and 25 °C.

Store in closed packing.

Keep away from children.

Sachet of 100 g (120 sachets per box).

Jar of 1,000 g (12 jars per box).
